I come from a long line of crafty women, on both sides of my family. I am a preschool teacher and I love it! Crafting is what keeps me going and I love sharing my crafting passion with my preschoolers. To me creating something with my hands is pure stress relief! Most everything I’ve learned I’ve taught myself, mostly from reading books.

Currently with my teaching job I travel several months out of the year because I work with migrant workers. Living in a hotel isn’t as glamorous as it seems but it’s an adventure.

The most offended I’ve ever been in my life was when an older woman walked up to me and took my cross stitching work out of my hand and said “You don’t know what you’re doing. I teach cross stitching classes if you want to come.” That woman was lucky all I did was tell her what she could do with her classes.

  1. There is no excuse for rudeness, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a heck of a lot of it out there. She’s lucky she didn’t say that to me. Furthermore, I do know what I’m doing, but I didn’t always, and I was fortunate to know a lot of people happy to teach me.

Forget this. And be happy that you’ve got the craft bug. It’s made my life livable, lovable, and at one point saved my life. It’s probably still saving my life. I’m going to read some of your blogs, if you don’t mind….see what you’re up to.

  2. I wrote my first comment two years ago. Can you imagine? No wonder I forgot. I just read several of your blogs. Love the cross stitch, and especially like the turtle and that poem. Very sweet. Thanks for subscribing; I am returning the kindness. Patsye
